The Terminus Hotel is in North Fitzroy and on the border of Clifton Hill and Northcote and has established a fine reputation as a damn good local pub.
Now with Chef Matt Merrick in charge in the kitchen, the Terminus has stepped up to be the inner-North's only true GASTROPUB.
Now there's all the more reason for you to make the Terminus your local...
We like to call ourselves the unassuming Gastropub. Unlike some of the other Gastropubs around town, we don't have massive pictures of our chef on the outside of the pub, and we don't sell our chef's own line of sauces and salad dressings, we do have one advantage over some of the other gastropubs around town...the person we claim to be our chef, actually is our chef.
Matt Merrick is a chef going places. The combination of his fine dining background, his passion for pubs and his outstanding ability to present superb food makes him the ideal gastropub chef.
At the Terminus, Matt has fashioned a menu of "the sort of things I like to eat when I go to the pub". For many, the superb range of prime quality, carefully sourced steaks is the menu's highlight. But there's more...
There's a range of bar snacks & starters, "pub meals", a superb meat and fish section and a selection of delightful desserts. We're sure it's the sort of thing you'll like to eat when you go to the pub, too.

To compliment our outstanding menu, we have an outstanding beer selection.
The Terminus features 9 beers on tap plus a wide range of stubbies, specialising in beers from Australian (mainly Victorian) microbreweries. The tap beers change regularly so it's always worth a visit to the Terminus just to see what's on tap.
The diverse and interesting wine list features smaller producers from Australia and New Zealand as well as some easily recognisable names.
Add friendly and knowledgeable staff, a warm and inviting atmosphere and a well stocked bottleshop and all the ingredients are there to make the Terminus your favourite local pub.
